What the app handles
Eventing XC Timer records timed rides on the user's Garmin watch so the user can review them in Garmin Connect. It can write a Garmin FIT activity containing available route, time, distance, speed, elevation, heart-rate, temperature and related metrics. It also saves timing and display preferences, first-run acknowledgement and temporary recovery data on the watch.
The exact fields depend on the watch, paired sensors, permissions, satellite reception and Garmin platform support. Garmin's normal device sync can transfer a saved activity to the user's Garmin Connect account.
Permissions
FIT & FIT Contributor
Creates a horseback-riding activity and adds metres-per-minute and timing fields.
Positioning
Uses location on the watch so Garmin can include the ride route, distance and speed.
Sensor
Uses available on-watch or paired sensor data, such as heart rate and temperature.
The app does not request contacts, communications, Internet, advertising or analytics permissions.
0developer-operated servers
The developer does not receive, sell, rent or use ride data recorded by the app. Garmin separately processes purchases, device services, diagnostics and account information under Garmin's own terms and privacy notices.
Retention and deletion
Preferences remain on the device until changed, cleared or the app is uninstalled. Temporary recovery data is deleted after reset or finish and expires when too old to restore safely. Saved FIT activities remain on the device and, after sync, in Garmin Connect until the user deletes them with Garmin's device or account controls.
Children, changes and contact
The app is for a general audience and is not designed or marketed specifically for children under 13. A responsible adult should supervise minors undertaking equestrian activities. Material policy changes will be reflected here with a new effective date. Privacy or deletion questions can be sent through the developer support contact on the app's Connect IQ Store listing.
